A new light

27 April 2021

We could have launched the new Editha’s blog by picking any of the articles on DTP, Migration, Best practices, Case Studies, etc. from our editorial calendar. However, we think that the very first lines of this page should focus on us and tell you more about something that can be difficult to understand: what’s going on behind our screens.

At the heart of Editha

Editha’s always been a cosy home, a place to bring together new and experienced professionals. Its curious, dynamic, innovative soul is constantly changing and knows no boundaries.

We feel at home in a place where shared values are our foundations and projects and ideas are the roof above our heads.

Our flexible team design allows us to get the right people in place for the right job. Whether they are in Rimini or in Argentina, it makes no difference to us.

Benefits of flexible working have been discussed for a long time now but Romagna pioneered remote working long before Covid19 pandemic broke into everyone’s lives. Editha’s operational headquarters are in Rimini. People from this area in Italy have always been hard-workers with enough craziness to dare to think big to achieve big.

Even if we are based in Rimini, we’ve always worked with clients from all over the world, from companies just across the street to translation agencies in US or Sweden.

As a matter of fact our identity is not based on where we are but on who we are and, more importantly, where we want to go together.

Apart but still together

We’ve been one of the first companies here in Emilia Romagna to adopt remote working at the beginning of the shutdown period. We asked our coworkers to work from home as a preventative measure when working in presence was still possible and no clear guidance was provided on the matter by government. It was an overnight decision which we could easily make as everything we needed was already set up: shared files and procedures on our network and established channels for internal communication. As a matter of fact our shared workspace is virtual since we use Monday.com: a platform to manage projects, workflows and processes.

These past 13 months that we’ve been far away from each other made us realize the true meaning of teamwork: we could all be part of the Editha team and contribute to it with our individual skills, developed by working side by side, without seeing each other.

We reconsidered the meaning of Editha itself and went to the heart of it. We decided to start from there with the firm conviction that we believe in our company, we love our job and the people we chose to work with.

The journey ends in this new digital home. We heartily welcome you today, not only to a refreshed website but to the essence of our work.

Our new journey can continue from here with new discoveries, new projects, new clients but with the same desire to do things well that has always distinguished people from Romagna.

Our wish for you is that you can always find yourself even in the darkest moments, despite this uncertain year.

Good communication is at the core of our business. Whether we are dealing with DTP projects in languages that we do not speak, with a user manual or a post on our blog, we always keep in mind that our main goal is to communicate clearly.

Summing up a whole year in the middle of a pandemic is not easy. We are filled with deep gratitude for the network we have created and nurtured.
